FOTO World Art Submission Guidelines

1. One Artwork Per Month: Each artist can submit one piece of photographic art per month. Choose your best work that you believe represents your unique style and vision.

2. Submission Window: Submissions are open on two specific days each month. Check our website or social media for the exact dates.

3. Quality and Format: Ensure your submission is high-resolution and in a compatible digital format (e.g., JPEG, PNG).

4. Originality: Your work must be original and created by you. We accept both traditional photography and AI-assisted photography, provided you disclose the use of AI and follow the AI guidelines.

5. Content Standards: We seek diverse and compelling narratives. Avoid submitting works that contain offensive, explicit, or inappropriate content.

6. Ethical Considerations: Respect ethical standards in photography, especially regarding the portrayal of subjects and the authenticity of the narrative.

7. Artist Information: Provide a brief description of the artwork and any relevant artist information (name, background, artistic statement).

8. No Fee for Submission: There are no fees to submit your work to FOTO World and we DO NOT charge a curation fee.

9. Submit Through Our Platform: Use the 'Submit Your Art' feature on our website to upload your work and provide the necessary details.

10. Minted or Unminted: It does not matter if your image is minted or not, however the image you submit, if accepted, is the NFT we will be accepting for the world.

11. AI Integration Limit:

    • Artworks may incorporate AI assistance, but the AI component must not exceed 50% of the creative process. The core of the artwork should be an original photograph taken by the artist.

    Original Photography Foundation:

    • The submission must be based on an original photograph captured by the artist. AI can be used for enhancements or touch-ups but should not dominate the creative expression.

    Disclosure of AI Usage:

    • Artists must clearly disclose the extent and nature of AI involvement in their submitted work.

    Purpose of AI Enhancement:

    • AI should be used to enhance the artistic quality of the photograph, such as color adjustments, lighting corrections, or adding creative effects that complement the original image.

    Ethical and Creative Standards:

    • Submissions must adhere to ethical standards in photography and AI usage. Avoid deceptive or inappropriate use of AI that misrepresents the reality captured in the original photograph.

    No Full AI-Generated Art:

    • We do not accept artworks that are fully generated by AI programs or tools. The submission must be fundamentally a photograph taken by the artist.

    Intellectual Property Compliance:

    • Ensure that all elements, including those added or altered by AI, are either original or appropriately licensed. The artist is responsible for all intellectual property considerations.

Selection Process:

• Initial and Monthly Onboarding: We begin by selecting 50 photographers in our inaugural month and continue by adding 10 new photographers each month. This process is driven by our curatorial team, comprised of seasoned photographers and art enthusiasts.

• Curator Contributions: Each curator nominates photographers based on artistic quality, technical skill, and thematic relevance, bringing a diverse array of styles and stories to FOTO World.

• Democratic Voting System: Our selection decisions are made through a majority vote among curators, using a blind voting system to ensure impartiality and minimize bias.

Curatorial Commitment:

• Flexibility and Quality: Our curators, while having flexible time commitments, are dedicated to diligently researching and selecting artists whose work aligns with FOTO World’s vision of diversity and artistry.

• Ongoing Engagement: Although our curators serve as ambassadors for FOTO World, their role is primarily focused on art selection and curation, not on marketing or sales.

Artist Participation:

• Open to All Photographers: Whether an emerging talent or an established artist, we welcome submissions that showcase unique perspectives and narratives.

• Every participant is deemed to accept these Terms and Conditions.

• Provenance on the Blockchain: Our focus is on curating a distinguished collection of photography that is documented and proven on the blockchain, offering artists a platform for recognition and provenance.

What We Do Not Offer:

• No Guarantee of Marketing or Sales: While FOTO World provides a platform for artists to be showcased, we do not undertake any obligations for marketing or selling the artwork. Our primary service is the opportunity for curation and exhibition in an online gallery curated by and for photographers. We will not take any curation fees.

• No Legal Liability: FOTO World does not hold any legal liability for marketing, sales, or promotions of the artwork displayed in our world.
